It’s like a mini Thanksgiving feast, perfect for a smaller crowd or when you just feel like having Thanksgiving any time of the year. I have tons of lightenened up Thanksgiving side dish recipes and recipes for leftover turkey which you can see here. I’ve made this many times, pictured above I served the turkey with my favorite Cranberry Pear Sauce which can be made a few days ahead and roasted brussels sprouts. Pictured below in this older photo you’ll see my Skinny Buttermilk Mashes Potatoes which my husband loves, but in my opinion, no Thanksgiving meal is complete without my Mom’s Stuffing!
Modified from the Slow Cooker Revolution Cookbook. It’s a great base for turkey breast, and I can see playing around with the ingredients in this recipe. And since so many are asking, I have the 6 Quart Hamilton Beach Set ‘n Forget Programmable Slow Cooker. I love it because you can adjust the time you want it to cook, and it automatically turns to warm when it’s done. It also has a probe for meat that automatically shuts off when done. I hated my old slow cooker, it burnt everything and my food had a weird taste. This slow cooker is so great and inexpensive, I actually own three!
